SSI Scuba Skills Update

SSI Scuba Skills Update

The Scuba Skills update program is designed to update your scuba diving skills as learned in your open water diver course, but is not designed as a training course for uncertified divers.

The Scuba Skills update study guide and video are broken into the following sections which review the scuba skills from your open water diver course.

  • Responsible Diver Code
  • Preparing your Equipment
  • Planning Dives
  • Diving Skills
  • Emergency Skills
  • Using Your Dive Log
  • Continuing Education

Prerequisites:
Certified Scuba Diver
Complete a SSI Medical History Statement

Required Books and Equipment:
SSI Scuba Skills Update Study Guide
Mask, Snorkel, Fins and a complete dive system

Rental gear can be acquired at "the local dive shop". The price includes your DVD study pack w/ study guide, and a fun filled day of beach diving under the supervision of an experience trainer.

If it's been over a year since your last dive, this would be a good course for you to participate in. More and more boats are requiring recent dive experience, so don't get caught up in that nightmare. Take the refresher and be "up2date"!

Am I reading the address correctly, this event is in the Ft Lauderdale area?

It is indeed. The Divers Inn has been relocated to the Ft. Lauderdale area because folks wanted to dive the East Coast more than the Gulf.
