Hi Arthur.
The viz out in the Gulf is usually @ 25-30' normally. On days or weeks of very limited winds and low tides/waves it can go higher and during times of more turbulent weather, it can get lower. If the viz looks like it will be too bad for anyone's enjoyment, I will cancel the dive unless asked not to do so. There are some who will dive under "limited visibility" conditions and others who will not.
